This one is called the Frosted Acrylic Water Pipe. Basically it is a standard bong with a literal twist in the middle. I like it because it stands out as a clear attempt to challenge traditional glass bongs in design.

For the same reasons,  I like the Acrylic ice bong-4-colors striped. It is striped and has the twist in the middle and is definitely one of the most unique of the acrylic bongs on this list.

The Fluorescent pink Acrylic bong also incorporates the twist, but does it with a bulb and fluorescent paint. All of these catch my attention because they attempt to incorporate designs that are uniquely acrylic in nature, while still trying to mimic some of the more fluid abilities of glass. Plastic of any kind is brittle, even when it is in its liquid state, unlike glass which is fluid and even sticky in its liquid state. This makes working in plastics more difficult when it comes to blending colors and shaping fluid designs. Of course designs in acrylic can be had, by using a mold. Another black bong that is simply called an Acrylic Bong uses the base colors, yellow, green and red, without any attempt at all to mix or blend them, to create an ethnic looking bong. This bong utilized the nature of plastic to its advantage.

The acrylic ice bong colored sticks is an unusual design. It is a simple bong, but the tube is pierced by colored stick. This makes it very interesting just to look at, and again it utilizes the brittle nature of plastic to its best advantage.

I think one of my absolute favorites is the Black Acrylic Bubble Water Pipe with Tri-Color Bands. Taller than most of the other acrylic bongs on this list, this colorful weed bong is simply incredible! It is black on the top and black on the bottom, including the bubble. In between are three boldly colored bands, one red, one yellow and one green. It would fit right in at a 60s or 70's themed party.

Acrylic Bongs, Defined

So what are acrylic bongs, anyways? Well, for starters, a bong is a small water pipe, used for smoking tobacco or medical marijuana smoking. For the longest time bongs have been made of glass, and glass bongs have a huge market, especially for those that have unique or interesting designs. But now we have acrylic bongs!
